We have been coming here for years. Its like being tucked away in your own little corner of the world, in the woods. Its never crowded, we can go for long walks during the day with our dogs and star gaze at night. Ken and Ron are two of my favorite people. They always talk with us and have a great sense of humor! They keep a close eye on everything and you don't have to worry about leaving your trailer all day while you are out and about. Always look forward to pulling in and popping into the office!
Me and my wife stayed here in the rustic housekeeping cabin back in mid-July. We had a wonderful visit to the beautiful property and would definitely return. We were amazed at how Ron and Ken almost singlehandedly run the entire place. Everything is nice and the peace and quiet are a nice retreat from the big city. We also store snowmobiles and jet skis here and the convienence cannot be beat. We really appreciated the hosts hospitality and would highly recommend this campground to anyone who has a true appreciation for the north country! I am personally doing all I can to make my friends aware of this northern gem!
I have been taking my family here for the past 5 years. NEVER had a problem with the beds or anything at all. Its a nice peacefull rustic cabin with wildlife all around. Sitting outside during the day and watching the deer walk around the camp grounds or taking a stroll down to the stream... Its a beautiful area full of nature. Sitting at the fire pit at night and hearing the coyotes yelping back and forth all night long is just relaxing. Ron and Ken are great guys full of knowledge of the area and would be more then happy to assist you in any way. I guess if your looking for a place to come and have someone fluff your pillow or ask for room service to flush the toilet for you.. This isnt the place for you. Go back to the "concrete jungle" and find a Marriott Hotel. If you looking for peace and quiet full of nature with a rustic cabin this is your place. Love this place and cant wait until next time!
This place is truly a perfect retreat from city life! Very peaceful and well kept. I enjoyed our stay and loved the house keeping cabin (reminds me of my grandparents cabin) bonfires, and especially our hosts. Ron and Ken are terrific guys, run the entire place, and are very knowledgable about the area and trails. There is a terrific area near the Big Creek, perfect for relaxing with a good book. Got snowmobiles? These guys store and service them!! I highly recommend this place for those looking to escape and reconnect with the true spirit of the Michigan north country.
Don't bring your sled here! I brought mine in for a repair that they supposedly fixed last year. They picked my sled up with their hi-lo and dropped it. They did over $800.00 in damages. They could'nt even call me to let me know what happened. They actually acted like they did nothing wrong. They did some half-ass repairs ( didn't even bother to order new parts) and expected me to accept their cobbled repairs. These guys are incompetent and need to retire!! Don't come here, you will regret it!
